All of our updates in one...

So it's been a while since I've updated. I'm bad as usual at keeping this up. Things with us are great! We had a great holiday season and can't wait until next year when we have our addition with us!!!

Sooo first things first. We found out last week that we are having a little girl!!! Total Shocker! We were completely flabergasted when the tech told us. I have to be honest, I'm bummed also. I was really looking forward to a little brother for Colton. I never pictured myself as being a mom to a little girl. I always pictured just having 3 boys running around and being completely content with that.

But I know that one day, I'll look at my daughter and wonder what I ever wanted a son for.

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited now. I'm so happy that she's completely healthy and looks awesome and I can't wait to meet her. I'm sitting here looking down at my belly jump and just smiling at her. It's going to be a fun ride!!!!!!!!!!

Sooooooooo moving on...

We went to Oklahoma for Christmas for a week and it was awesome!!! Colton had so much fun doing chores (feeding the cows) and hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Justin. His Grandpa really enjoyed spoiling the bejesus out of Colton by giving him (sugar-free) ice cream and pudding and iced tea. It was my first Christmas with the Gerber's and it was so nice and relaxing!!!

Here are some pictures from Christmas:

So then after we left Oklahoma, we drove home (with the help of an amazing navigational system that we like to call Mrs. Francine (Fran) Garmin ) and made it there for the inspection of the new house... and then flew out the next day to California for a week.

I didn't get any pictures of that trip, but as soon as I get some from Christine, I'll be sure to post them.

We had so much fun in Cali, even though we pretty much didn't leave the house except to eat at some awesome restaurants. Colton had so much fun running around after Cooper and Sydney. it was adorable! The boys stayed in one room at night, and I was under strict orders from Cooper to let them "Talk" in the morning. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall during their talks because I bet it was preeeetty funny. I so should have gotten up and listened one morning...

Now that we're home we are in the process of buying our first home!! It has been the single most frustating thing that I have ever encountered. The house is a foreclosure and it's an amazing deal. It's going to require a lot of work and Kevan has lovingly dubbed it "The Crap Sandwich"....
The people who moved out, were so uh.. happy...to leave that they wanted to leave fond golden memories on the carpet. But honestly, I'd much prefer to have their golden memories than their brown memories though...
So I'll be sure to update our challenges and fun throughout the next couple of years with the house. I can't wait to see the finished product!!! I've watched my mom and my sister do some amazing flips over the last couple of years and I can't wait to see if I have learned anything from them and whether I have their talents.

Our offer was accepted on the house before Christmas, and we are still working on the contract. Ugh. Talk about stressful. I'm sitting here convinced that this is THE house and am petrified that someone else is going to buy it out from under us before we get their signatures on the contract. Ha. Like someone else wants to get involved in with "The Crap Sandwich". I think that the lack of plumbing fixtures in the upstairs bathroom, and the lack of a master toilet might be possibly scare most people away. But here I am, unable to sleep at night, petrified that someone else might think that "The Crap Sandwich" is the best deal in the world...

Here are some pictures because I'm sure all of my faithful readers (Hi Mom!) are dying to see it after my glowing praise of it's beauty...

Oh wait, that's a picture of the cutest little boy in the whole wide world...

here are the house pictures:

The outside ( just in case you were wondering....)

The kitchen and the passway through to the dining room.

And the walls in the dining room really aren't yellow... but I don't have pictures of the formal living room, dining room, entry wall or hall. But they're just fabulously plain right now...

Here is from the eat-in-kitchen:

This is standing in the E-I-K looking down on the family room:

Here is the wet bar in the family room. Then through that hallway, you have the 4th bedroom, which will be a play room for the kids, a full bathroom and a laundry area. The door to the basement is off to the right of the hallway door

Here is the stone fireplace in the family room

Here are the stairs going upstairs:

Here is what will be the kids bathroom upstairs:

This beautiful area is the master dressing area with the "master" bathroom at the end. The spot for the toilet (they took it)is on the right, and the teensy shower is on the left. This area is set for a major overhaul.

Here is the backyard, and it was funny telling my in-laws about how huge the property is (1/3 acre) when they own as far as the eye can see, lol...

There is a huge 2 car garage off the side of the house (the door leading from the family room) and I love the covered patio and also the open patio. I really can't wait until Kevan gets his hands on the backyard!!!

One of the first plans for the house is the patch and paint the front ugly brown wood. Then paint the front door since it doesn't match the house at all.

I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sooo hopefully closing goes well, and don't have ANY hiccups. I would love to get into the house with enough time to get the house put together before baby girl comes.

Oh, and baby girl is going by the working title of MayOnnaise at the moment...

Alright, well, it's midnight now, and that means bedtime!!!!!!!!!! I hope that everyone is well!!!

Night!!!

I had to come back and edit, I just realized that I neglected to share pictures of the basement!!!!!!!
This will be known as "The Pub"
