I love photoshop.....

So I've got a sticker on my car of calvin wearing a yankee hat, peeing on the red soxs... well, I want one on the other side of the rear-view window of calvin with a ram's head peeing on the buffs...

Welll, I couldn't find it anywhere so I found 3 different images and photoshopped it. I'm super proud!!!!!


and for the record, this took me about 4 hours because I have no freaking clue what I'm doing with photoshop and I just play around until I figure it out...

Colton's Big First Birthday Party!!!!!!!

He's not a baby anymore.... waah. Not only is he walking, but he's one. I guess he's officially a toddler now.

Colton had a nice big First Birthday Party, on his actual birthday August 4. We had a great big turnout and it was so nice to get to see friends that we hadn't seen in such a long time! It just reaffirmed that I am so happy that we moved back to Colorado. We shouldn't have ever left. Who leaves such an amazing support system?? Morons I tell you. It is so great to be around friends and family who love Colton so much. He's such a lucky kid to have so many great people around him!!!

We had his party at the park and he was pretty bummed, but there was too much goose poop around the shelter for him to walk around and play in the grass. I don't think that just because it's his birthday that he should have been eating goose poop and that's what would have ended up happening for sure...

The past year has been so wonderful and I can't believe how fast it's gone!!! I miss that little tyke that slept all of the time and stayed in one spot. I think that Colt is scared that he'll be crazy-glued to one spot if he stays there longer than .03 seconds.

We went to a birthday party yesterday and Colton was having a ball hanging out with the kids and WALKING all over the place!! He was doing great!!!! I can't believe that he's almost one!!

I've been so bad about blogging lately... Things have been super hectic. We moved back to Colorado at the end of March and are so happy to be back! Its been awesome to be around old friends again, and to make new ones... It's so nice to be around family again and I hadn't realized just how much I missed everyone out here and the state in general until we were back. Why did I ever want to leave?

Colton is doing great! He's saying Mama, Dada, Bubu (bottle) and every now and again he pops out with DoDo (doggie) and Byebye. He loves talking on the phone with his Daddy and makes sure to call him every morning so that he can tell him all about his Banana's and Waffles. He is a crawling phenom and is quick like a panther. He's started walking and will take up to five steps at a time so he'll be walking fully anytime now.

We took him to Chatfield Reservoir Swim Beach today and he loooves the water! It was a bit chilly, so I put just his feet in so he could feel it and he took off!! While hanging on to my two fingers, he walked in all of the way up to his armpits and wanted to go in farther. We sure have a water baby!!!

Kevan starts a new job tomorrow and we're so excited! He's going to work for our college friend Adam and Kevan is beyond excited to be working in the installation side of the business again. It's also going to be a really nice change to be working residential again and not be working for as large of a corporation. He will be getting a company truck which means that I get my Escape back... literally!! It's going to be so nice to be able to go grocery shopping during a weekday again instead of with everyone else in the world at night or on the weekend. I sure won't miss those crowds!!

I'm still working on my Medical Transcription Course. It's a lot harder than I expected it to be, and I got off discouraged for a while, but I'm back on track now and just plugging and chugging away..

We haven't been able to take many new pictures lately because our camera is broken and we haven't gotten around to fixing it, but thats going to happen real soon... But my girlfriend Christy is a professional photographer and she has taken some pictures for us. I hope that you like them!!

I'm no longer using Dropshots because I have too many pictures there, so now I'm using Flickr. Let me know if you need the link and I'll get it to you...

Life as we knew it is over.... he's crawling...

So we took Colt to the park this weekend and he had a ball on the swings!! It was soo much fun to watch him... He thought that it was the coolest thing in the world!! Everyone in the play area was laughing along side him because his squeals of joy were so contagious!!



When we got home from the park, we needed a new outfit because he was just soo excited that he pooped his pants... (yeah, thats it...) So since it was still in the high 60's, we went out and sat on the front lawn and played for a bit. I can't believe that he's 7 months old already.







oh yeah, and did I mention that he's crawling??? its the pits...

I wonder what Cowboy boots taste like...

So once again, I am bad with updating pictures, but we've been super busy lately. We just got back from Oklahoma from an awesome weekend and we had a ball with Kevans family. The night before we left for our trip I had a little photo shoot with our little cowboy... Aunt Steen says that he looks like he is getting ready for his Playgirl shoot in this next one... Whatever.. :-)

Colton was trying to prove that cowboy boots are yummy!! I'm not sure if he proved his theory or not, but he sure did try!!

I can't believe that he is already over 6 months. We had a great birthday and I can't believe that we're as old as we are. 26 and 28 seems so far out. At least Kevan is closer to 30 than I am. yuck!! I am dreading that birthday tons, but oh well. It'll happen... So Colton still has his two teeth, but is working on his top two teeth also. Our flight to Oklahoma was pretty uneventful, it was so nice to actually have a direct flight though, I understand more of why Christine refuses to have a connection anymore. I had the same conversation that we have every single time that we fly...Random Traveller: "Awww, is this babies first flight?" as they are grabbing for his clean hands with their own dirty, nasty germ-filled hands.Me: "Ugh, no, this is actually his 17th flight..." while trying to get those grubby hands away from my precious baby. Random Traveller: "WHAT? Wow, I, uh, guess thats good, uh, thing?? Do you think thats, um, safe for him??" as they finally understand that I don't want their nasty hands on my child.Me: "Well YOU'RE flying, so I guess the modern world has evolved enough that I feel safe leaving my stone hut with my child before he turns three... Now get your stinkin hands OFF of his before he puts YOUR germs in his mouth!!!"Colt rode his first bull on his first day in Oklahoma, it was awesome.. He stayed on for over 8 seconds and here are some pictures of it... Here are some more pictures of our trip...








But yeah, so Colton has now gone on 18 flights and this last one was the worst yet, it doesn't help that he isn't a little comatose baby anymore. Now that he has his own ideas and know's what he wants he's a lot harder to keep under wraps. Especially now that he has figured out that high pitched squeeling is the coolest thing in the WORLD...

I'm a bad blogger

I'm such a bad blogger... I haven't blogged in forever!!! Bad Lindsay...

Things with us have been really hectic to say the least. We had an amazing Christmas in Florida and it was so great to spend time with Dad. There is something so special about watching your child play with your father. Its so special. It was pretty hectic though. We flew into Tampa on Dec 22nd and then drove the next day down to Boca Raton since Nana couldn't come up to see us. On Christmas Eve we had a huuuuge Crab Legs fest and it was awesome!! Kevan and I proved that we are the star crab leg eaters!!

After our great trip to Florida, Colton and I headed off to snowfilled Denver to hang out with my Mom and sister (and their respective Clans...) It was so fun to have the kids together and although it was reallllllllllllllllllllly small quarters for all of us, we had a ball. We were got over 30 inches of snow while we were there and built an awesome sledding track right in front of the house. Jim took the best pictures on his amazing new camera, but I haven't gotten my copies yet (hint hint....)

Just to give you an idea of the insane amount of snow that we had, Colton is pushed into the snow so that he is standing up... Everyone thinks that he is laying down, but nope, thats a loooot of snow!!

We have big plans for this month, Colton turns 6 months on the 4th, Kevan turns 28 on the 5th, I turn 26 also on the 5th, we go to Oklahoma on Feb 9-13th and then I have my final schnoze surgery scheduled for the 21st. I cant wait to get it corrected again! its going to be awesome to have a straight nose again! its been a couple of years.... I am sooooooo excited!!!!
