So yesterday, Colton and I got to go see the new baby on an Ultrasound Machine and it was so great!! Colton was not very happy to be sharing the attention of the nice midwife and was super mad at me. He was babbling something about still being the cutest baby in the world and how we didn't need a new baby...
The ultrasound put us at least a week ahead of where we were thinking that we were, and bumped up our due date by 5 days. But they're thinking that we might actually be farther ahead than that... They were only able to date the pregnancy when the baby was scrunched over and at that they put us at 13 weeks 2 days.
The good news is that would put us into the second trimester TODAY!!!! (at least, lol)
I'll go back for another ultrasound next month, and it will be a more in-depth ultrasound so we'll be able to know more. I'll be at least 17 weeks, so it's an absolute possibility that we'll be able to find out the gender before Christmas instead of after Christmas like we were thinking!!!
The baby was sooo cute and when looking at the screen, really looked like a baby!! It was crazy. I still forget that I'm pregnant, and then I saw this little one dancing around in my tummy and it was so great. The baby (I keep saying She and having to correct myself.. so we shall see...) was waving frantically as if to let me know that s/he was really there. And the heart was beating great and everything was perfect.
Here is a picture from the u/s. It's kinda hard to make it out because this is a picture of a picture, but the head is the big thing.. and this child is NOT shy.. completely spread eagle... The dot to the left of the screen is the hand that kept waving at me. You can see the leg on the right really clearly and make out the thigh and the calf!!
So we are officially a third of the way done now!!! Yay!! And more importantly, I'm starting to get some energy back...
I didn't gain any weight at all in the first trimester. I actually lost weight, which I'm happy about. From here on out, I should be putting on about one pound a month... I'm trying really hard to not get huge this time. It should help to not be on steriods for the last couple of weeks, lol...

So everything has been going great with this pregnancy, but our house has been a sick house for about 6 weeks now... Colton and I have been passing one thing after another back to each other and it's been no fun...
We ended up in the ER on Saturday because Colton had a fever of 105.6 and was breathing very fast (52 breaths per minute) and just lethargic. Obviously, the second that we got there, little Mr. Flirt bounced out of it and wanted to run around and just flirt with everyone. He loves the hospital. He got hugs... He got waves... and more importantly... He got Popsicles...
His temp dropped down to 102.4 by the time that they were doing triage and we were told that it's just something Viral and we'll have to wait it out... Poor guy, he's loving getting Popsicles and all of the extra cuddle time...
We were having some difficulty with Colton actually going down for his second nap of the day. It was impossible for about a week. Then I put him down one day with his head on Lambie and I gave him a silk cuddle blanket and the stinker was OUT!!!!! I love it because Lambie is my old stuffed animal and is very loved. It's so great seeing things from my childhood getting loved by Colton.
Here are some pictures from the park the other day.

Happy Halloween!!!
So Here is the house aka The Perpetual Tag Sale house in it's Halloween finery... Yes, I promise, this is the actual house. I didn't photoshop the picture at all... lol, it's a site. That's for sure...
We drove by last night, and they had a smoke machine going full blast... It was really insane... Make sure that you tilt the screen so that you can see the spider on the roof...
Here is the side of the PYS House...
And now on the the important things in life... Colton.
Colton wore the costume that Aunt Steen made 10 years ago for Mackey to wear... It has gone through all of the kids, and it was so neat to see it on my child. It was so much more meaningful and special than anything that we could have bought for him. He looked adorable and Christine really did an amazing job when she made this costume, it's amazing.
Here is Colton working on his Cheetah pose:
"Mommy, this is sooo cool!!!!!"
"Check out these claws!!!!!!!!!!!"
Here is Colton trick'r'treating with his little friend Jackie. They had an absolute ball!
They have such great conversations...
Just hanging out holding hands...
"Yummy!!! Your antenna tastes delicious!!!"
"I am a cheetah, and if you take one more picture of me, I will kill you..."
Here's the Pimp-mobile...
Our Family...
and here are some pictures from dinner tonight...
"I destroyed those Spagetti-O's... I owned them.... Total domination.... I won..."
Fun in the tub after the war with Spagetti-O's

Colton is going to be a big brother!!!
So as you can see from our neat Widget box over on the right... We are having a baby!!!!! The next Gerber is expected to arrive on or around May 25th, 2008!!!
Colton is going to be soo excited to have a little brother (shhh.. or sister...) so close in age!!!!!
We're very excited and should be finding out the gender in the beginning of January.
So far, no morning sickness this time around. My only major symptom is my massive exhaustion. I could curl up and go to bed at any given point of the day... Only about another month and we'll be in the second trimester and that should go away...
I'll be sure to update the blog with belly pictures as it progresses... I'm starting to get a little belly already since my body is used to this whole pregnancy thing... it remembers whats going on and is being super accomodating ;)

My precious prank caller...
I just got a phone call from Layla's Husband letting me know that my darling son had just prank called their house... yes, I speak of sweet little Colton.... Sweet Little Innocent Colton just made his first prank call... So is there a spot for this in his baby book? Do I enter it right after First steps?
First prank call: 9-19-07 4:33pm to the P house in Pennsylvania...
Because yes, not only did he make a prank phone call, he called long distance.
I wonder if this is the start of him not being a bargain hunter. At least he called from the house phone where we get unlimited calls and not my cell phone...
Layla was very happy to hear a mom in the background of the babbling because then she knew at least that he wasn't an abandoned baby... Because, that's right... I was sitting 2 feet from my son when he did this...
When I got on the phone with her, I expressed my relief that he'd called her and not 911!!!!!
Little stinker...

Our poor, poor, poor dog...
...went from sleeping in our beds to getting kicked out while I was pregnant. From being the center of our world and doing all sorts of fun stuff and cuddling all of the time...
He now sleeps on the floor, gets "played" with all of the time by a noisy nosy toddler, gets his food and water bowl put up because said noisy nosy toddler is very interested in eating and drinking said dog's things instead of noisy nosy toddler food/drink.
He constantly has to listen to a loud noisy nosy toddler instead of the peace and quiet that he loves...
Said dog can't even cuddle with his daddy while daddy plays video games because noisy nosy toddler must investigate ears, paws, give kisses and bother.... He doesn't have any dog toys laying around because the noisy nosy toddler fights him for the toys since noisy nosy toddler wrongly believes that everything was put on this planet for him...
Poor said dog has lost everything...
and now he has finally hit rock bottom....
Noisy nosy toddler has declared said dog's last possession as his own.... Said dog has now lost his chair. Noisy nosy toddler just laid siege, forcefully removed said dog and has piled said dog's chair up so high with toys, that I'll be surprised if noisy nosy toddler can crawl back up there...
the poor, poor, poor, poor life of said dog.

I love photoshop.....
So I've got a sticker on my car of calvin wearing a yankee hat, peeing on the red soxs... well, I want one on the other side of the rear-view window of calvin with a ram's head peeing on the buffs...
Welll, I couldn't find it anywhere so I found 3 different images and photoshopped it. I'm super proud!!!!!
and for the record, this took me about 4 hours because I have no freaking clue what I'm doing with photoshop and I just play around until I figure it out...
and that's really Cam the Ram's head...

Colton's Big First Birthday Party!!!!!!!
He's not a baby anymore.... waah. Not only is he walking, but he's one. I guess he's officially a toddler now.
Colton had a nice big First Birthday Party, on his actual birthday August 4. We had a great big turnout and it was so nice to get to see friends that we hadn't seen in such a long time! It just reaffirmed that I am so happy that we moved back to Colorado. We shouldn't have ever left. Who leaves such an amazing support system?? Morons I tell you. It is so great to be around friends and family who love Colton so much. He's such a lucky kid to have so many great people around him!!!
We had his party at the park and he was pretty bummed, but there was too much goose poop around the shelter for him to walk around and play in the grass. I don't think that just because it's his birthday that he should have been eating goose poop and that's what would have ended up happening for sure...
The past year has been so wonderful and I can't believe how fast it's gone!!! I miss that little tyke that slept all of the time and stayed in one spot. I think that Colt is scared that he'll be crazy-glued to one spot if he stays there longer than .03 seconds.
Look at how much he's grown!!
Here is how our family has changed:
Here are some pictures from the party:
Here are some of our friends that came:
This is some of my family enjoying some food:
Adam was a great pitcher for the Whiffle Ball game:
Colton loves his new baseball bats!
He got some adorable clothes!!
Colton loves his Digger and Digger Book!
Playing with a new book:
Here is Colton's cake!
Hanging out with Aunt Gwen
Uncle Justin in the background:
mmmm, we love cake!!!
But we reaaally love cake in our hair...

The latest...
Here we are playing paintball
Our Greasy Sunscreened boy at the Botanical Gardens in June...
I love these pictures. They were taken at the park down the road from our house.
I've been so bad about blogging lately... Things have been super hectic. We moved back to Colorado at the end of March and are so happy to be back! Its been awesome to be around old friends again, and to make new ones... It's so nice to be around family again and I hadn't realized just how much I missed everyone out here and the state in general until we were back. Why did I ever want to leave?
Colton is doing great! He's saying Mama, Dada, Bubu (bottle) and every now and again he pops out with DoDo (doggie) and Byebye. He loves talking on the phone with his Daddy and makes sure to call him every morning so that he can tell him all about his Banana's and Waffles. He is a crawling phenom and is quick like a panther. He's started walking and will take up to five steps at a time so he'll be walking fully anytime now.
We took him to Chatfield Reservoir Swim Beach today and he loooves the water! It was a bit chilly, so I put just his feet in so he could feel it and he took off!! While hanging on to my two fingers, he walked in all of the way up to his armpits and wanted to go in farther. We sure have a water baby!!!
Kevan starts a new job tomorrow and we're so excited! He's going to work for our college friend Adam and Kevan is beyond excited to be working in the installation side of the business again. It's also going to be a really nice change to be working residential again and not be working for as large of a corporation. He will be getting a company truck which means that I get my Escape back... literally!! It's going to be so nice to be able to go grocery shopping during a weekday again instead of with everyone else in the world at night or on the weekend. I sure won't miss those crowds!!
I'm still working on my Medical Transcription Course. It's a lot harder than I expected it to be, and I got off discouraged for a while, but I'm back on track now and just plugging and chugging away..
We haven't been able to take many new pictures lately because our camera is broken and we haven't gotten around to fixing it, but thats going to happen real soon... But my girlfriend Christy is a professional photographer and she has taken some pictures for us. I hope that you like them!!
I'm no longer using Dropshots because I have too many pictures there, so now I'm using Flickr. Let me know if you need the link and I'll get it to you...
